Meet Patricia Youker - City Council Candidate
Let me introduce myself...
I have proudly called Vadnais Heights home for nearly 13 years and previously served on the Vadnais Heights City Council from 2019 to 2022. That experience provided me with a strong understanding of city operations, budgeting, infrastructure, public safety, and the importance of transparent decision-making.
My professional background began in computer hardware manufacturing, where I collaborated with engineers to improve mainframe production processes. After earning a degree in Fashion Management and Marketing with a 4.0 GPA, I developed employee training programs and was responsible for overseeing eight distinct retail concepts implemented across stores nationwide, including seasonal merchandising and visual presentation. Building a successful photography business and working in my uncle’s CPA firm further strengthened my experience in small-business management and financial accountability.
My council service, experience as a small-business owner, and practical approach to problem-solving have prepared me to provide responsible, common-sense leadership. My priorities reflect that experience: aligning city spending with residents’ needs and taxpayers’ ability to pay, maintaining essential city services, and ensuring residents have a meaningful voice in the decisions shaping Vadnais Heights.
I have the experience to serve, the willingness to ask tough questions, and the commitment to put residents first.
