Dependable City Services
What it means - City government’s first responsibility is to provide the essential services residents rely on every day: public safety services, well-maintained streets, dependable water and sewer systems, effective snow removal, responsible development, and responsive city services.
Why it matters - Reliable services protect our safety, property values, and quality of life. When routine maintenance is delayed or resources are directed away from basic responsibilities, problems become more disruptive and expensive to correct.
How I will approach this - I will prioritize city maintenance planning and long-term strategies, support clear service standards, and assess whether residents are receiving measurable value for their tax dollars. I will encourage departments to identify problems early, coordinate projects efficiently, and communicate openly with residents about costs, schedules, and disruptions.
